Optimum Delivery Service, LLC. has partnered with Amazon Logistics as a Delivery Service Partner (DSP). We are currently hiring Delivery Driver's delivering Amazon packages
The ideal candidate is a:
Being a team player is an absolute must. While you will spend the majority of your day alone in a van making deliveries, we work as a team and constantly support each other throughout the day. There is always someone available at the push of a button to call you back while you are on the road.
If you possess a strong work ethic , want to make fantastic pay, and have a desire to grow personally and to help others grow as well, we want you on our team as a Delivery Driver!
Candidates must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed--depending on package demands set by Amazon. Each driver must value SAFETY and RESPECT of each other first and foremost, as well as being customer service oriented.
Qualifications
Ability to work 4 days a week
Ability to maintain focus and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to speak, read, and write in English to communicate with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with members of the public, coworkers, managers, and Amazon employees
Ability to effectively operate a global positioning system (GPS) navigation system
Ability to use electronic devices for route navigation and planning
Ability to maintain basic logs and records
Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision
Ability to communicate effectively with support team and to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction, despite potentially stressful events/conditions
Ability to drive and deliver in all types of weather, and in all types of routes
Ability to walk, lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, twist, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long. In certain situations, longer
Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and sort boxes and packages weighing up to 50 pounds **** each on a frequent basis
Ability to climb up and down stairs frequently throughout the workday
Ability to successfully handle and timely deliver customer packages
Ability to timely report for scheduled shifts and maintain reliable attendance
Ability to support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes
Ability to use a hand truck, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., gloves, safety shoes, etc.)
Ability to see and avoid obstacles and tripping hazards
Ability to complete required training
