Opportunity for advancement
We are looking for a delivery driver that can double as a shop technician to join our team. This is a part-time, permanent position with Monday through Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with the opportunity to work more hours based on business needs and performance. DPF Alternatives offers industry-leading cleaning techniques for all diesel engine aftertreatment system components but sets itself apart from the competition with ultra-sonic Diesel Particulate Filter cleaning and offering a lifetime warranty on the service. Be a part of one of the fastest growing franchises across the country by joining with a team that owns multiple locations across Texas with many opportunities for career growth within the organization.
Time will be split between working in the shop and pickup/delivery driving. The shop technician position is responsible for cleaning/restoration of Diesel Particulate Filters, Diesel Oxidation Catalysts, and Select Catalyst Reduction devices. The shop technician will also perform any disassembly and/or cutting open of components to prepare for service as well as inspecting components and identifying those that cannot be cleaned and therefore require replacement. The shop technician will operate the cleaning equipment as well as equipment that can replace damaged substrates in both Diesel Particulate Filters and Diesel Oxidation Catalysts. The shop technician will use a digital workflow to record all cleaning and remanufacturing processes. The shop technician will greet any walk-in customers, build invoices for completed work, and take payment for any parts or service picked up in person. We would like to eventually perform diagnostic, removal, and reinstallation of diesel particulate filters in-house on light duty diesel trucks (Ram 2500, Ford F250, etc.) so auto mechanic skills are a plus. Welding can be temporarily outsourced if the technician has no prior welding experience, however the company will require and pay for training for the technician to become proficient enough in welding to perform the services we offer.
The delivery driver position is responsible for picking up filters and after treatment components from customers, bringing them back to the facility to be serviced, and delivering the clean/serviced components/filters back to those customers. DPF Alternatives offers a 24-hour turnaround time on filter cleaning. Organizational and communication skills are imperative to ensure there are no logistical problems and filters are returned to customers on time. The delivery driver is also responsible for gathering required information such as customer contact, vehicle information, pictures of components, etc., when picking up aftertreatment components or filters using a digital workflow application. In between deliveries when there are no filters to clean or remanufacture, the driver will clean the shop, clean and maintain the delivery vehicle, and assist the outside sales team with sales efforts.
