Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Truck Driver/ Warehouse Assistant to join our team. This position combines warehouse operations with local delivery responsibilities.
The selected candidate will assist with receiving, organizing, pulling, staging, loading, and unloading materials while also transporting materials and goods to customers, vendors, and various job sites.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, dependable, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is preferred.
CDL NOT REQUIRED.
Responsibilities
Receive and process incoming shipments in a neat and organized manner.
Inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, shortages, or errors.
Pull and prepare materials for customer pickups and job-site deliveries.
Stage orders and verify that all materials are complete and accurate before loading.
Load and unload trucks safely.
Pick up materials and goods from vendors and transport them to the warehouse or designated job sites.
Deliver materials to customers and job sites safely and on schedule.
Obtain delivery confirmations and signatures when required.
Plan safe and efficient delivery routes using GPS or company routing instructions.
Maintain communication with the office regarding deliveries, delays, traffic, or job-site issues.
Perform routine vehicle safety inspections.
Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
Maintain required driving and delivery records.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
Assist with receiving, inventory organization, and general warehouse operations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and vehicle.
Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable driving laws.
Perform other warehouse and delivery duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse and/or truck driving experience preferred.
Valid Florida driver's license required.
Clean driving record required.
CDL is not required.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Familiarity with GPS systems and route navigation.
Understanding of applicable driving laws and safety regulations.
Ability to meet warehouse, delivery, and physical demands.
Capable of standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, loading, unloading, and lifting heavy materials.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
Dependable, punctual, and professional.
Ability to follow delivery schedules and instructions.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
