Job Title: Delivery Helper
Job Summary: Support drivers in delivering and assembling furniture, appliances, and electronics to customers’ homes. This role involves loading, unloading, careful handling, assembly, and direct customer interaction. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a focus on safety are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Load & Unload Items: Assist in safely loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring items are properly packed and secured.
Navigate & Assist: Support drivers with route navigation and efficient access to customer locations.
Item Handling: Carefully move items to prevent damage during transport and delivery.
Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Assembly & Placement: Help assemble and place items according to customer instructions, often in tight or multi-story environments.
Report Issues: Communicate any delivery issues or customer feedback to the appropriate team members.
Follow Safety Procedures: Use safe lifting techniques and follow all company safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
Capable of lifting to 50 lbs. on your own and assisting with heavier items as part of a team, using proper lifting techniques and safety equipment. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented.
Comfortable using GPS and map apps.
Familiarity with basic hand tools for furniture/appliance assembly is a plus.
