MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Delivery Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day deliveries for Equipment sales to patients either at homes or medical facilities. Required to be available for an on-call rotation. Will be knowledgeable of all durable medical equipment and supplies to include respiratory. Required to have overall knowledge of the city and to read a city map and work a computer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Facilitate the flow of information with the department to successfully deliver all equipment in a proper and prompt way.

2. Required to maintain the delivery or driving logs required by law.

3. Required have the ability to repair medical equipment and trouble shoot equipment over the phone or in person.

4. Ability to install, evaluate and maintain DME/ Respiratory equipment.

5. Required to have knowledge of the sanitizing methods for cleaning any returned used equipment.

6. Will take on-call as directed by supervisor.

7. Maintain a positive upbeat and helpful attitude when interacting with customers and any referral sources.

8. Will exhibit good interpersonal relationship skills, written and verbal communications.

9. Required to have a valid state issued Driver’s License.

10. Required to pass a drug test.

11. Required to pass a background check.

12. Required to have a clean driving record.

13. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.

14. Will perform other related duties as assigned and required.

15. Will ensure deliveries and pickup tickets are accounted for and turned in at the end of each business day.

16. Required to have knowledge of Medical Supplies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires standing, sitting, talking and hearing. The employee is required to use reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. May be required to work in confined spaces and climb to the top of shelves. May be required to lift up to 35lbs.without assistance. Will be required to drive for long periods of times and may also be required to travel out of town.

WORK HOUR REQUIREMENTS

Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Full Time- 40 hours

Part Time- 20 + hours

Occasional overtime

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma and 1-2 years experience as a courier or delivery person
