JOB TITLE:  SR. DIGITAL INTERFACE DESIGNER/UI LOCATION:  REMOTE / CENTRAL TIME ZONE / HOUSTON TX Our Client  has an Immediate Opportunity for an experienced Digital Interface Designer / UI Graphic Designer to join their team in Houston, TX on a long-term contract basis.  The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for the overall visual aesthetics of Client's web properties.  We require high proficiency/expertise in Sketch, Abstract and Invision with an emphasis on Design System Process.  Nice to have Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and prototyping tool (Principle or Protopie).  Major plus to have micro-animations, Jira & Confluence. Responsible for Setup of design systems. Following brand guidelines. This position is responsible for establishing and championing high-quality visual design standards on corporate web properties as well as the implementation of brand guidelines on web properties.   We are seeking a Level-Headed Corporate Branding inspired Create Digital Interface Designer that has an eye for Creative Branding and Atomic level Design.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Produce high quality visual designs and prototypes with strong attention to detail  •Lead overall visual standards/patterns in an effort towards a unified design language  •Enforce a robust design quality for our products & concepts  •Lead user and customers feedback sessions  •Foster a culture of "design criticism"  •Evangelize good design practices and values across other teams  •Mentor and train less knowledgeable peers and individuals  •Engage with executives on design reviews  •Lead or assist in workshops with other teams and business units to determine requirements  •Provide the intellectual basis of design discussions (principles, themes, values)  •Engage with products that need a leader to shape a design vision 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the field of graphic design is preferred  Experience: Must have 6+ years of relevant digital experience  HFI (Human Factors International) certification is a plus. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

•Candidates must present portfolio with recent desktop and mobile work   •Must be strong in both Visual and Interaction Design and understands the need for good usability.  •Exceptional visual design skills (including layout, typography, iconography, color theory and use of imagery)  •Possess the ability to communicate design concept ideas by creating low and high fidelity prototypes with applications such as Marvel.  •A brand ambassador that ensures the look and feels carries throughout internal and external projects.  •Possess expertise in using Adobe Creative Cloud and has a basic understanding of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. Is not a coder, but understands the capabilities and limitations of the web.  •Aware of current design trends for desktop and mobile devices.  •Has worked with, or on a User Experience team before, understands the methodologies and best practices.  •Adapt design strategies to take advantage of user research, analytics, and client feedback  •A thought leader who can help drive and refine the design language and experience of applications  •Strong attention to detail, high quality standards and a true passion for design 

•e-commerce environment is a plus.  •icon design is a plus  •designing iOS app experiences from start to finish as a visual and UI designer with familiarity with iOS development is a plus
