    Position Summary:  The Regulatory Filing and Compliance Analyst will be a member of the Compliance Department and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support existing business and implementations of new group sponsored and individual dental and vision benefit products.

    Essential Functions:

    • Research regulatory and compliance requirements needed to sell new and maintain existing dental and vision benefit products; or to sell products to new market segments
    • Create and file new product form filings and amend existing forms to comply with state regulatory requirements or to create product enhancements
    • Track status of filings and respond to objections by state regulators
    • Communicate regulatory approval of new products and changes to existing products, and respond to any internal inquiries
    • Organize and maintain a system to track product filings, including maintaining a record of all approved forms
    • Prepare, submit, and track other required regulatory filings and license renewals
    • Assist in the administration of the Company's privacy program by investigating alleged privacy breaches and performing risk assessments. Assist with the preparation and submission of reports.
    • Assist in the administration of business associate and other contractual agreements
    • Ensure company policies are routinely reviewed, accurate, current, and in compliance with federal and state regulations.  Review and update policies as laws change.
    • Conduct and monitor compliance testing, audits, and investigations as needed
    • Perform continual audit procedures with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
    • Assist in other regulatory and/or compliance matters and projects as needed

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Minimum 5 years experience working in health insurance or in a regulatory environment or healthcare related field - dental and vision strongly preferred
    • SERFF product filing experience helpful
    • Exceptional research skills with the ability to research, read, and interpret insurance regulations, bulletins, and forms
    • Ability to communicate regulatory and compliance requirements clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical team members
    • Results oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
    • Strong project management and organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy 
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing demands and different projects
    • Excellent written and verbal and communication skills
    • Ability to learn new technology and tools
    • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

    • Typical office environment
    • 40-hour workweek (M-F) as assigned and additional hours as required
