Sales Engineer

Delta Engineering is a company headquartered in Belgium with branches in the US and Romania. We are market leaders in developing and building downstream equipment for automation in the plastic bottle blow molding industry.

The US branch serves the US, Canada and LATAM markets and for this purpose we are looking for a motivated sales engineer to help grow our sales in Mexico. Even though he will be the sales responsible for the Mexican market, his home base will be in Atlanta, GA and he will have to travel to Mexico regularly. He will work in a small team to create custom solutions for customer specific needs. The job will be customer oriented and project driven, thus demanding both flexibility and communication skills.

Major tasks and responsibilities

• Prospect for customers in the Mexican market
• Provide solutions addressing customer’s needs in automation and quality control for blow moulding lines
• Prepare and give technical presentations to explain customers how the machines and the production lines work
• Work with customers and engineers to ensure that the equipment meets the costumers’ requirements.
• Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective
• Prepare and send quotations for new lines and for modifications of the existing ones
• Prepare the lay-outs for new lines and for modifications of the existing ones
• Train the customer’s team regarding the operation of some of the machines

Qualifications and profile

• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills
• Native Spanish speaker
• Fluent in English
• Good knowledge and understanding of automation
• Good marketing skills and business sense
• Good software skills (MS Office,…); experience with Autocad is an advantage
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Strives in a fast pace environment
• Detail oriented
• Able to work in an international environment
• “Can do” mentality
• Possibility to travel internationally
