    SummaryDelta Oaks Group is seeking an individual to lead A&E projects in the telecom vertical. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to design and production tasks as well as scoping, project management, client communication, and program management services associated with turnkey A&E projects in the telecommunications industry. This position will require a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the telecommunications field with demonstrated knowledge of the A&E/Civil engineering discipline and proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously. Depending on assigned projects and the development of the department and role, this position may be responsible for coordinating with the department director to develop technical and operational approaches for the efficient completion of project and department tasks (including CAD standards and templates) and implementing these procedures on the applicable project.

    Positional Responsibilities

    The A&E Project Engineer coordinates, supervises, and contributes to production as necessary over the full life cycle of assigned projects, including aspects of design, project management, and client communication.The selected individual will be expected to lead projects from commencement to completion, including the ability to:

    Demonstrate technical knowledge of basic site-layout, civil, electrical, grounding, and structural aspects of telecommunications facilities

    Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for telecommunications/civil projects using computer-assisted drafting (AutoCAD) equipment

    Manage A&E and Civil development projects from commencement through final permit approval with minimal supervision

    Research codes and create construction drawings that adhere to various construction, permitting, and zoning regulations for widely varying geographic locations

    Perform ground-based inspections/audits and related functions at telecommunications sites with limited supervision

    Coordinate with client representatives, governing agency personnel, and other project stakeholders to determine various project specifics

    Help develop and maintain AutoCAD standards and adhere to department protocol for drawing setup, publishing, and record keeping

    Review and QA/QC of assigned tasks completed by other engineering and technical staff

    Due to the nature and limited timelines of most projects, the candidate should be willing and capable of exhibiting the work ethic and social ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment where communication with co-workers and strategic partners is paramount.Knowledge and Skills Required

    Experience with computer drafting software (AutoCAD) is required

    Experience managing telecommunications projects at a holistic level is required

    Experience with site development and zoning requirements typical of the telecommunications industry is required

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word is required

    Education

    Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution with the experience highlighted below; OR Associates Degree in a technical discipline with the experience highlighted below

    Experience/Other Requirements

    With Bachelor of Science Degree, design experience amounting to a minimum of four (4) years of practice; with other educational qualifications, design experience amounting to a minimum of six (6) years of practice. Experience shall be demonstrated in the areas of CAD Design, A&E telecommunications design, telecommunications project management, and telecommunications program management.TravelSome travel will be required for this position
