**Rapidly growing company needs help with the books! **

Our Lansing-based client is actively seeking an Accountant to join the team.  This is a full-time, direct-hire onsite role with a normal 40 hour week. 

Responsibilities:

\- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
\- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
\- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
\- Analyze variances and trends in financial performance
\- Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans
\- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and analyze financial results
\- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
\- Present financial analysis findings to senior management

Skills:

\- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting
\- Strong knowledge of investment banking principles and practices
\- Advanced Excel skills, including VBA programming for automation
\- Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
\- Familiarity with Sage / Intact or other financial planning software
\- Knowledge of market research and analysis
\- Strategic planning abilities to contribute to the company's growth initiatives
\- Solid understanding of financial concepts, including profit and loss analysis

Qualifications:

\- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
\- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role
\- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
\- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently
\- Effective communication skills to present complex financial information clearly
