Job Description

As a Quality Control (QC) Tech this position works with the QC inspectors and Calibration lab.  The duties and responsiblitlies are as follows:

• Must play a key role in QC inspectors and Calibration Lab support.
  • Serve as back up for incoming/outgoing inspections as warranted
  • Continuous improvement/streamlining of inspection and documentation process
  • Train inspectors to create inspection sheets and perform first article inspections
• Responsible for support of calibration lab
  • Act as calibration lab backup as warranted by work flow, or absences
• Communicate with internal/external suppliers regarding quality issues.  Additionally, work with purchasing department for return of non-compliant materials to suppliers.
  • Increased involvement with Gold Step
• Responsible for the management of External CAR
  • CAR generation, spreadsheet maintenance, and quality cost calculations.
• Oversees generation of quality alerts and deviations as necessary
• Oversees generation of Hitachi CTN Production Process Sheet
• Develop operating procedures as necessary
• Maintain QC Hold area and documentation
• Assist with Quality objective data updates
• Active member of internal audit team
  • Assist with audit schedules and training.
• GENERATE AND REVIEW QUALITY OBJECTIVE (KPI) DATA
  •   Produce pareto graphs monthly
  • · Identify trends to determine work priorities
  •   Make recommendations to management regarding priorities
  • · Maintain NCR data Log
• MAINTENANCE OF INSPECTION REPORTS
  • Update with ECR changes/product changes
  • Create new product sheets
  •  Provide inspections to GS supplier
• IN PROCESS FINISHED GOODS INSPECTION AND INITIAL DOWNLOADING
  •  As assigned assist with temperature and humidity calibrations
  •  Issue calibration certifications as required
  •  Work in calibration database
  •   Assist with equipment preventative maintenance monitoring
• INCOMING INSPECTIONS
  •  As assigned assist with incoming materials and tests per ICQC/FGQC document i.e. sampling plans and other applicable procedures.
  •  Initiate Nonconformance Report (NCR) for any defects found

OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Qualifications

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILL SET:

• An associate’s degree
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in a quality control field
• Advanced computer skills using MS Suite - Word, Excel Access database and PowerPoint, math and science skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills a must
• A good understanding of Quality Assurance principles and standards
•  Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and guidelines.
• Must be detailed orientated and have strong organization skills
