    Interiors Solution Consultant

Are you looking for a job that has meaning? Are you passionate about helping teachers and librarians create functional spaces to maximize the learning that takes place there? If the answer is yes, we should talk!

Demco has been serving libraries and education communities for 114 years and is the leading source for solutions that support lifelong learning and enrichment. Because education is constantly evolving, we are adding to our team to support our customers in the transformation of their learning spaces, technology, and community engagement initiatives. Our philosophy is “to find solutions for our libraries and schools, not customers for our products,” and we take pride in our personalized, consultative approach.

For the role of Interiors Solution Consultant, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced sales professional to solve our customers’ problems using our breadth of furniture solutions, considered the best in the industry. This role is a consultative sales role and is responsible for problem solving, project management, and relationship building.

Success in this role means you are achieving your goals and have happy customers. You’d accomplish this by listening to customer issues, recommending new solutions, and applying appropriate sales strategies, as well as sharing insights and identifying cross-sell opportunities. We hustle to provide the best customer experience, which means that contact with customers will rely on approximately 75% phone and 25% travel, including visiting K–12 schools and public libraries and attending educational trade shows and special events.

The best qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or sales (or have equivalent work experience). Three to five years of proven success in consultative selling is required. If you have experience selling in the education and/or library markets, that’s even better. You also need to be fluent with basic software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Salesforce.

    Your Perks:

This role has a base salary plus commission compensation program, and our top producers earn more! We also offer many benefits to keep you healthy and happy, including:

    • Options for health, dental, vision, and life insurances
    • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
    • Paid time off
    • Eight paid holidays
    • Paid volunteer time
    • 401(k) and profit-sharing plans
    • Tuition reimbursement
    • Assistance in community giving
    • Health and wellness reimbursements
    • Scholarships for dependent children
    • Personal computer purchase plan
    • Cell phone reimbursement
    • On-site community blood drives
    • Business casual attire
