    Demco, Inc., a leading direct marketer to the library and school market, is currently considering the resumes of qualified candidates to fill a  Systems Developer position.

    SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for the continued development of a custom ERP business system in an IBMi/Windows environment, which also interfaces with various third-party software. The Systems Developer will work closely with internal clients and the Application Services team to determine development needs and then design, develop, and implement solutions in a timely and efficient manner. Using astute communication skills, this highly visible position will represent the technical perspective on business issues to the organization.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Works both individually and in a team environment to develop business software
    • Works closely with end-users to design and implement solutions
    • Adheres to development standards
    • Completes assignments accurately, timely, and within budget
    • Communicates effectively throughout the organization

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • A minimum undergraduate or two-year degree in IS program development and 1–5 years of programming experience in a client server and web environment 
    • Effective communication skills
    • Self-motivation and a strong sense of priority
    • A willingness to accommodate a rapidly evolving development environment
    • Experience with business application systems a plus, including customer service, manufacturing, distribution, finance, business analytics, Magento, and Salesforce
    • Knowledge of PHP, .NET, IBMi, and LANSA a plus
