    A well-established environmental services and building demolition contractor, is seeking an Estimator to join their team in the Lansing, Michigan area. This role is responsible for developing accurate project estimates for demolition and hazardous material remediation work while partnering closely with operations teams to support successful project execution. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who enjoys technical project evaluation, relationship building, and contributing to meaningful infrastructure and redevelopment projects.
    What You'll Do as the Estimator:

    • Review project plans, specifications, environmental reports, and survey documentation to define project scope and pricing strategies
    • Visit project sites to evaluate conditions, identify risks, and assess logistical requirements
    • Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering labor, equipment, materials, permits, disposal, and subcontracted services
    • Prepare professional proposals, bid packages, and supporting documentation
    • Collaborate with project managers and field leadership to ensure estimates align with execution plans
    • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
    • Monitor bid results and analyze estimating performance to improve future submissions
    • Stay informed on industry regulations, market conditions, and best practices related to demolition and environmental remediation

    Must-Haves as the Estimator:

    • 5+ years of estimating experience within demolition, hazardous materials abatement, environmental remediation, or closely related construction sectors
    • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, environmental reports, and construction documents
    • Experience preparing detailed project cost estimates and bid submissions
    • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed

    Nice-to-Haves as the Estimator:

    • Asbestos Supervisor certification
    • Asbestos Inspector certification
    • Experience estimating large-scale demolition or environmental remediation projects
    • Existing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers within the industry
