    Job Description

     

    DENTAL OPERATIONS COORDINATOR / SUPERVISOR

    We are a fast-growing mobile dental provider, providing dental care to under-served populations in and around the Milwaukee area using portable equipment and a state-of-the art mobile clinic. 

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Dental Operations Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and oversees the day-to-day operations of a Mobile Dental Clinic and School-Based Dental Program, providing administrative and clinical support .

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    · Oversee the daily schedule and operations of the mobile van and portable programs.

    · With input from the lead dental hygienist, track and facilitate participation in dental programs and generate reports.

    · Actively monitor workflows, processes and protocols for consistency, quality and adherence.

    · Utilize data to routinely monitor key performance indicators and prepare reports

    · Maintain patient data according to regulations and company policies, ensuring that records are stored securely and in compliance with privacy and security regulations.

    · Lead the transition to fully electronic record keeping and serves as the electronic records system technical specialist.

    · Support marketing and promotion initiatives.

    · Ensure adequate supply and control of inventory.

    · Ensure equipment maintenance and sterilization is being performed on a routine basis.

    · Work with the Executive Director to implement process changes to increase productivity and capacity.

    · Review, monitor and approve timesheets for payroll.

    · Act as backup clinical support where needed.

    · Attend internal and off-site trainings, meetings, and other relevant events.

    · Perform other related duties as assigned.

    KEY COMPETENCIES

    · Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must!

    · Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

    EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

    · Trained Dental Assistant or licensed Dental Hygienist preferred.

    · Previous management or supervisory experience required.

    · Knowledge of dental office procedures and dental terminology preferred.

    · Knowledge of administrative principles and procedures.

    · Knowledge of insurance plans and claims processing preferred but not required.

    · Knowledge of MS Office.
