    We’re searching for a diligent dental assistant to provide support to our dentist’s office. You’ll be responsible for supporting our periodontal staff, helping prep for examinations and procedures, obtaining dental records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring our patients leave our practice with a smile. Responsibilities: • Help periodontists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team • Answer any questions the patient may have about dental hygiene, schedule appointments for patient care follow-up, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patient's teeth and gums, after procedures • Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use • Measure and document vital signs and update the medical history of patients • Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment Qualifications: • Certification or an Associate’s Degree from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required • Active BLS/CPR certification is required • 1-2 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant • Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are preferred • Proficiency with computers, experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary Compensation: $23 - $26 Hourly
