Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and caring Dental Assistant to join our established general dental practice in Valley Village! As a Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. You will work chairside with the doctor through a full range of general procedures, prepare and turn over operatories, and help patients understand their treatment. This is a full-time position, four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday), 32 hours. The ideal candidate is x-ray certified, has previous chairside experience, and genuinely enjoys putting nervous patients at ease. Responsibilities

Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable

Assist the doctor chairside during restorative and general procedures

Take digital radiographs

Chart existing restorations and findings with the doctor

Set up, prepare, turn over, and break down operatories for treatment

Sterilize and maintain instruments per infection control protocol

Review post-operative and oral hygiene instructions with patients

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8 hours per day. Location: In person in Valley Village, CA. This position is not remote.

Requirements

Current California Radiation Safety certificate (required to expose x-rays)

Board-approved 8-hour Infection Control course completed

Current BLS/CPR certification

One year or more of chairside dental assisting experience preferred; graduates of a dental assisting program welcome to apply

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong computer and data entry skills

Ability to provide high-quality patient care
