    Summary

    We are seeking a qualified and caring Dental Assistant to join our team FULL-TIME (32 hours) at Bennett & Harbach Family Dentistry! Our office is deeply rooted in the Placentia-Yorba Linda community and are committed to building lasting relationships with every patient who joins our family. We emphasize preventative and conservative dentistry, only diagnosing procedures that are absolutely necessary. Our office has a supportive and fun work environment where positive vibes make every day enjoyable!

    As a Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures, take impressions and pour up models in stone, take x-rays, and other tasks. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and has at least five years of experience in a dental office setting.     Responsibilities:

    Prepare and organize treatment rooms for dental procedures

    Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions)

    Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

    Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)

    Assist dentist during procedures and exams

    Record patient medical and dental histories, chart findings, and update records

    Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed

    Take impressions and fabricate temporary crowns or models as directed

    Qualifications

    Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of California is PREFERRED

    Previous experience as a dental assistant (5 years in a dental office)

    Be able to work full-time (32 hours per week)

    Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required

    Strong computer and data entry skills

    Excellent communication and customer service skills

    Ability to provide high-quality patient care
