Responsibilities: • Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed • Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment • Support dentists and dental hygienists by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team during procedures or examinations • Schedule appointments for patient care follow up, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums, after procedures • Must be able to fabricate aesthetic well-fitting temporaries • Must be familiar with Invisalign including taking records, placing attachments, and scanning • Must be skilled in basic assisting such as but not limited to suctioning, packing cord, accurate notes, and explaining treatment to patients • Must pass a reference check Qualifications: • Active BLS/CPR certification is required • Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are preferred • Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) • 3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant • Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed Compensation: $27 hourly potential depending on skills
