    We’re a cosmetic dental practice in San Antonio looking for a dependable dental assistant to join our team. We run a professional, organized, drama-free office with a strong focus on patient experience and quality care. Responsibilities: • Take and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if necessary • Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment • Must be able to fabricate aesthetic, well-fitting temporaries • Must be familiar with Invisalign, including taking records, placing attachments, and scanning • Must be skilled in basic assisting, such as but not limited to suctioning, packing cord, accurate notes, and explaining treatment to patients • Must pass a reference check • Has experience assisting with implants and orthodontic procedures • Can anticipate doctors' needs and keep procedures flowing efficiently Qualifications: • Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary • Need state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) • Certification or Associate’s Degree from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required • Up-to-date BLS/CPR certification is required • Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant Compensation: $26 hourly potential depending on skills
