Responsibilities: • Get treatment rooms ready for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials • Answer any questions the patient may have about dental hygiene, schedule appointments for patient care follow up, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums, after procedures • Take and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if necessary • Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team • Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use • Must pass a reference check Qualifications: • Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) • Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary • Current BLS/CPR certification is required • An Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required • Previous dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant (3 years) is necessary Compensation: $26 hourly potential depending on skills
• Must be able to fabricate aesthetic well-fitting temporaries • Must be familiar with Invisalign including taking records, placing attachments, and scanning • Must be skilled in basic assisting such as but not limited to suctioning, packing cord, accurate notes, and explaining treatment to patients • Must pass a reference check
