    Hanson Family Dental is looking for a motivated and highly efficient dental assistant. Hanson Family Dental is a private practice that has been providing care for patients in our community for 40 years and counting. We love making our community smile!

    Hanson Family Dental is owned and operated by wife and husband duo, Dr. Mia Russo and Dr. Samuel Lee. Dr. Russo works full time and is looking for a dental assistant. She does restorative, crown & bridge, extractions and more. Dr Lee is a surgical prosthodontist who works on Fridays. He specializes in full mouth rehabs and implants. Both Dr. Russo and Dr. Lee are willing to help an assistant grow their skills.

    Hanson Family Dental is an office where all the patients feel welcome and this is something we feel very proud of. The office is in the center of the community driven town of Hanson. Many of our team members have been with the practice for 10 plus years.

    We are looking for an assistant who …

    • Prepares treatment rooms and instruments for procedures

    • Takes dental x-rays

    • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment

    • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care

    • Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history

    • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures

    • Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns

    • Manage and maintain patient records, including updating medical history and treatment plans

    The qualifications needed are …

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred

    • X-ray certification required; CPR certification preferred

    • Experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is a plus

    • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments is a plus

    • Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes is a plus

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy

    • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
