We are looking for a caring, hardworking, and fun Dental Assistant to join our team at Michigan City Pediatric Dentistry. This role is perfect for someone who loves helping children feel safe, supported, and confident during their dental visits. You’ll play a key part in creating a positive experience for every family—combining clinical skill with genuine compassion and a kid‑friendly approach.

Responsibilities

Provide chairside support during exams and treatments using four-handed dentistry

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments with care

Take dental X-rays following safety guidelines

Keep accurate and confidential patient records

Teach kids and parents about oral hygiene and post-treatment care

Assist with pediatric procedures, using patience, empathy, and a calming presence

Maintain compliance with HIPAA and infection control protocols

Qualifications

Active X-Ray License (required)

Strong communication skills

Ability to stay calm, organized, and playful—even when things get busy

Coronal Polishing Certificate (optional - willing to train!)

Expanded Functions (optional - willing to train!)
