Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and caring Dental Assistant to join our team! At McCarthy Dental, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch care and creating a positive experience for every patient. In this role, you will assist dentists and hygienists during exams and procedures, help maintain an efficient clinical workflow, and ensure each patient visit runs smoothly from start to finish. You will also support patient communication by accurately documenting clinical information and helping guide patients through their treatment plans and next steps.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of dental assisting experience and is friendly, organized, and committed to providing an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists and hygienists during a variety of treatment procedures

Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instruments

Take dental radiographs (X-rays)

Record patient medical history and treatment plans

Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental procedures

Schedule appointments and manage patient medical records, if needed

Deliver exceptional patient care with a friendly and professional attitude

Qualifications

Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent experience

X-ray certification for the state of North Carolina

1+ year of dental assisting experience preferred, not required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to provide high-quality patient care
