    The Pediatric Dental Assistant plays a key role in delivering high-quality, compassionate dental care to children in a fun, supportive, and patient-centered environment. This position assists the doctor during procedures, helps create a positive experience for patients and families, and ensures the clinical area runs efficiently. Responsibilities: Clinical Support • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including restorative, preventive, and surgical treatments • Prepare and break down treatment rooms before and after each patient • Ensure all instruments and materials are properly sterilized and ready for use • Take dental radiographs • Maintain accurate and thorough clinical notes Patient Care & Experience • Greet and prepare patients and families for treatment in a warm and friendly manner • Help ease anxiety and create a positive, comfortable experience for children • Provide age-appropriate guidance and reassurance during procedures • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Infection Control & Safety • Follow all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines • Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols • Ensure treatment rooms and clinical areas are clean, organized, and safe Team Collaboration • Work closely with the dentist and team to ensure smooth patient flow • Communicate effectively regarding patient needs, treatment plans, and scheduling • Assist with coordinating care for pediatric patients, including those with special needs Operational Support • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any issues Qualifications: • Previous dental assisting experience required (pediatric experience preferred), Salary varies with year of experience • Current dental assisting certification/licensure as required by the state of Minnesota • CPR/BLS certification • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology Compensation: $62,000 - $70,000
