Job Summary We are seeking a Chairside Dental Assistant to support our pediatric dental team on an as-needed basis. This role is perfect for an experienced assistant looking for flexible hours while gaining valuable experience assisting with IV sedation procedures in a pediatric setting. You’ll play a key role in supporting the dentist during treatment, helping ensure a smooth, safe, and positive experience for both young patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance to the pediatric dentist during IV sedation cases

Ability to monitor pediatric patients before, during, and after treatment

Prepare sterilized instruments and ensure treatment areas are clean and organized

Accurately chart patient information and treatment performed

Educate and communicate with parents/guardians regarding treatment plans and post-operative care

Follow all infection control, OSHA, and office protocols

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Pediatric Dental Assistant (IV sedation experience highly preferred but not required)

Dental assisting certification and radiology certification (preferred, but not required)

Current CPR certification

Strong communication and interpersonal skills – especially with children and families

Reliable, flexible, and calm under pressure

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, pediatric-focused environment
