JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our client's dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices.
The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral health and ensuring a comfortable experience during their visits. Our team values compassion, communication, and continuous learning. We're looking for a Dental Hygienist who shares these same values.
DUTIES
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Take digital X-rays and assist with diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post treatment care.
- Assist the dentist during procedures effectively.
- Perform vital signs checks and document findings in the patient's medical records.
- Utilize medical imaging tools to capture necessary diagnostic images as part of patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within the dental office.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in a welcoming environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Current state license as Dental Hygienist
- Proficient in software for management for patient records and scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to patient care.
- Experience with EMR systems for efficient documentation review and management of medical records.
- Familiarity with dentistry practices and chairside assisting techniques.
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and provide appropriate recommendations for care.
- Knowledge of infection control measures to ensure a safe clinical environment for patients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
