Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our private dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient assessment, and medical documentation, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine oral health status.
• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate instruments and techniques.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize dental software systems such as Epic and Eaglesoft for patient management and record-keeping.
• Assist in the preparation of treatment plans in collaboration with the dentist.
• Ensure all medical imaging is performed accurately and safely, adhering to best practices in radiography.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the dental clinic to promote a safe environment for patients and staff.

Skills

• Proficient knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry practices.
• Experience with medical documentation processes and maintaining patient records.
• Familiarity with dental clinic operations, including patient assessment protocols.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is upheld.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, providing clear instructions and support.
• Competence in using medical imaging technology for diagnostic purposes.
