NEEDED: Dental Hygienist

LOCATION: 330 Federal Way, Pine Knot, KY 42635

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., excluding Federal holidays.

DUTIES:

• Work under the supervision of the staff Dentist; however, may be required to work under the supervision of the Clinical Director or a BOP mid-level practitioner.
• Responsible for personal health care needs and costs associated with exposure, or possible exposure to any blood borne pathogen or other risk encountered during performance of this contract.
• Provide the following Dental Hygienist services, which include, but are not limited to, the items listed below.
• Provide dental prophylaxis services.
• Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient
• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis
• Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist
• Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the dental staff
• Perform necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by the dental staff

REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE:

• One year of experience.
• Must be a graduate of an ADA approved dental hygiene school and has acquired a current state license to practice dental hygiene, without restrictions, in the state of Kentucky or Tennessee
• Serious candidates should submit the following items:
• Current resume
• Dental Hygienist license
• CPR (front & back)
• Diploma / Certificate from an accredited Dental Hygienist school
• Three (3) letters of reference from professional peers
