    We are looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist with a strong passion and motivation for all things dentistry-related at our office located in the Bronx, New York.

    A career as a Dental Hygienist offers a wide range of challenges. In the dental office, the dentist and the dental hygienist work together to meet the oral health needs of patients. Some of the Key Responsibilities you will have are listed below.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, and periodontal charting

    Taking and developing dental x-rays, including: Periapical, Bitewing, Panoramic, Cephalometric, 3-D Cone Beam Scan, etc.

    Removing calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teeth

    Applying preventive materials to the teeth (i.e. sealants and fluoride)

    Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (i.e. tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)

    Counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health

    Taking alginate impressions of patients' teeth for study models and whitening trays

    Sterilize all dental equipment and instruments to ensure hygiene is maintained throughout the office

    Desired skills:

    Strong passion for Dentistry

    Experience is mandatory

    New York State Dental Hygienist License

    Ability to multi-task

    Well-spoken & dependable
