Responsibilities

Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing as appropriate

Take and review dental radiographs

Conduct periodontal charting, gather health histories, and update patient records

Educate patients (kids, teens, and adults) on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive strategies

Apply fluoride and sealants

Assist with sterilization and operatory turnover following infection control protocols

Communicate findings clearly to the doctor and collaborate on patient care plans

Help maintain an efficient schedule while delivering a great patient experience

Qualifications

Current Dental Hygienist license in NY

CPR/BLS certification

Excellent chairside manner and communication skills

Comfortable working with both pediatric and adult patients

Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety/infection control

Experience with Open Dental preferred (not required)
