    Insurance Finance Coordinator We are looking for a detail-oriented Insurance Finance Coordinator to join our front office team. This role is the backbone of our patient financial experience—helping patients understand their dental benefits, payment responsibilities, and financial arrangements, while ensuring the practice meets its financial goals.

    Responsibilities include:

    Prepare financial action plans by reviewing upcoming patients and identifying financial needs; share updates at daily huddles

    Verify patient dental benefits, research coverage, and prepare accurate treatment estimates

    Explain treatment costs, insurance coverage, and payment options in a clear and compassionate way

    Obtain signed financial agreements, establish and track payment plans, and monitor patient compliance

    Submit daily insurance claims with correct providers, narratives, and supporting documents to minimize rejections

    Follow up on outstanding claims, resolve denials, and correspond with insurance companies as needed

    Process daily deposits, reconcile reports (Dentrix deposit slip, credit card, cash/bank batches), and ensure accuracy

    Run and monitor reports including collections, broken appointments, unscheduled treatment, and AR

    Maintain accounts receivable within 30 days and achieve collection benchmarks

    Send requested documents (x-rays, charting, narratives, etc.) to insurance carriers for claim processing

    Educate patients on dental benefit terms, eligibility, limitations, and financial responsibilities

    Support internal accounting processes and contribute to practice profitability

    Assist with front desk and Patient Concierge duties when needed to ensure smooth operations

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Knowledge of dental benefits, billing protocols, and ADA codes

    Strong math skills and attention to detail

    Excellent verbal communication with patients, team members, and insurance companies

    Relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

    Proficiency with practice management software, MS Word, and Excel

    Creative problem-solving and organizational skills

    Understanding of scheduling and financial systems in a dental setting

    Dentrix software experience preferred, online bill pay, e-claims, MS Office
