Responsibilities: • Assist orthodontists during orthodontic procedures, including placing and removing orthodontic brackets, archwires, and bands • Take accurate scans/impressions of patient's teeth for the creation of orthodontic appliances • Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide instructions for appliance care • Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment charts, progress notes, and digital imaging • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment • Keep up-to-date with the latest orthodontic techniques and procedures through continuing education Qualifications: • Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required • Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) • Previous experience working as an orthodontic assistant is highly desirable • Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials • Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work well in a team environment • Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care • Basic computer skills and knowledge of dental software Compensation: $30 - $35 hourly
