    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced, organized, and patient-focused Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy general dental practice in Anchorage. This role is responsible for managing front office operations, supporting clinical workflow, leading administrative staff, ensuring excellent patient experiences, and maintaining efficient practice performance.

    The ideal candidate is a strong leader with dental office experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance patient care with business operations in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage day-to-day dental office operations and administrative workflow

    Supervise front desk staff, scheduling coordinators, and billing personnel

    Coordinate patient scheduling and optimize provider productivity

    Oversee insurance verification, claims processing, and accounts receivable

    Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and state dental regulations

    Monitor office budgets, supply ordering, and vendor relationships

    Handle patient concerns professionally and maintain high patient satisfaction

    Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff

    Collaborate with dentists and clinical teams to improve office efficiency

    Track KPIs including production, collections, cancellations, and treatment acceptance

    Maintain accurate patient records and office reporting systems

    Qualifications

    Minimum 2–3 years of dental office management experience preferred

    Knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and treatment coordination

    Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix)

    Strong leadership and team management skills

    Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

    Professional communication and customer service skills

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

    High school diploma or equivalent required; additional business or healthcare management education preferred

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience working in a general dentistry practice

    Familiarity with Alaska insurance carriers and billing

    HR, payroll, or bookkeeping experience
