Our client, a multi-specialty healthcare clinic, is seeking a hands-on and solution-driven Dental Manager with strong operational experience in managing clinical and administrative dental staff.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dental department, ensuring optimal patient flow, staff coverage, and coordination with both clinical leadership and administrative teams to deliver high-quality, timely care.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the dental department, ensuring all departmental functions are fulfilled and staff schedules are optimized for efficient patient care.
- Supervise and support the work of dental assistants, receptionists, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional service delivery.
- Monitor patient flow and adjust scheduling to manage late arrivals, emergencies, and unexpected delays without compromising care quality.
- Coordinate emergency and special circumstance scheduling to ensure that patient needs are accommodated appropriately and efficiently.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and supportive work environment that enhances both patient satisfaction and staff performance.
- Approve and manage staff PTO and sick leave, and oversee daily time clock entries in collaboration with the administrative division.
- Act as the primary liaison between the dental department and administration, including communication with providers and the Dental Director on clinical issues.
- Support incentive and quality improvement programs in collaboration with the Dental Director, CSO, and national dental health networks (e.g., NNOHA).
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in dental operations or healthcare management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to manage and schedule large multi-role teams, including clinical and administrative dental staff.
- Strong understanding of dental practice workflows, patient scheduling systems, and operational best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt quickly to change and resolve scheduling or staffing conflicts.
- Effective communicator and natural liaison between clinical and administrative departments.
- Experience managing PTO, attendance tracking, and HR-related functions within a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare incentive programs and national quality measures (e.g., NNOHA initiatives).
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to lead a team and maintain high patient satisfaction in a busy clinical environment.

Salary: $75K - $85K
