What You’ll Do

Insurance Expertise: Research, interpret, and explain insurance policies, benefits, and exclusions to patients.

EOB Analysis: Review and clarify dental Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), including deductibles, co-pays, and insurance communications.

Pre-Authorization: Inform patients about pre-authorization requirements in person and over the phone.

Patient Guidance: Support patients with understanding treatment plans, billing statements, and payment options.

Claims & Disputes: Follow up with insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and denied claims.

Financial Calculations: Accurately determine co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs.

Financial Assistance: Assist patients with Care Credit and other financial programs.

Clear Communication: Maintain open, professional conversations with patients about their treatment, billing, and insurance.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 1-2 years of dental billing experience required.

Dental Knowledge: Comfortable with dental terminology and procedures.

Insurance Savvy: Strong understanding of PPO, Union, Med-Type, HMO, and DMO plans.

Verification Skills: Skilled at verifying insurance benefits and coverage.

Financial Acumen: Confident in calculating co-pays, deductibles, and patient balances.

EOB Proficiency: Able to interpret EOBs and patient ledgers.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.

Problem Solver: Proactive in researching and resolving billing or insurance issues.
