    Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and caring Dental Surgical Assistant to join our team! As a Dental Surgical Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care assisting your dedicated Oral Surgeon in the clinical treatment of patients. The ideal candidate has their certifications (radiography, CPR/BLS, infection control) and previous experience (at least one year) as a Dental Assistant.     Our growing Practice has offices in five locations: Manchester, Glastonbury, West Hartford, Berlin and Coventry. If hired, you will be assigned to an oral surgeon as a part of his dedicated team of surgical assistants and travel with him to his preset 2-3 locations. Schedules are determined at the beginning of each month and remain steady but flexible throughout the year.

    Responsibilities

    Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable

    Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have

    Take vital signs and accurately record medical history

    Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures

    Assist the oral surgeon during procedures and exams

    Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

    Qualifications

    Dental Assisting: 1 year (Required)

    Certifications (radiography, CPR/BLS, infection control)

    Excellent communication skills

    Team-oriented

    A keen eye for detail

    Ability to provide high-quality patient care

    Willingness & ability to travel between locations

    Computer and data entry skills
