Seattle Dental Associates is an established, privately owned practice with a fee-for-service model, wonderful patients, and modern tools and systems to provide patient-focused care in the heart of downtown Seattle. We are seeking a skilled Treatment Coordinator as the liaison between the doctor and patient, responsible for clearly presenting treatment options, supporting patient decision-making, and increasing case acceptance. The ideal candidate is the strongest communicator in the practice: empathetic, persuasive without pressure, organized, and proactive in follow-up.
About Us
We’re a values-driven single doctor dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate dental care in a welcoming and respectful environment. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and committed to both personal and professional growth. We believe that how we treat people—patients and coworkers alike—matters just as much as the care we deliver.
What We Stand For - Core Values
Excellence – Precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to best practices in everything we do
Integrity – Doing the right thing, always
Kindness – Creating a safe, welcoming space for all
Teamwork – Supporting one another and working toward shared goals
Compassion – Meeting each patient with empathy, patience, and respect
What You’ll Do – Job Responsibilities
Present and co-present treatment plans and informed consent clearly and confidently
Be present during comprehensive exams (and recare exams when needed) to fully understand diagnosed treatment
Act as a liaison between doctor, patient, and—when applicable—specialist offices to ensure continuity of care
Educate patients on treatment options, timelines, dental benefits, and insurance basics in simple, patient-friendly language
Support financial discussions and collaborate closely with the Financial Coordinator on payment and financing options
Handle objections to proposed treatment with empathy and professionalism
Follow up on all unscheduled treatment within 48 hours and track outcomes
Prepare patients for treatment by reviewing upcoming schedules and anticipated financial needs
Manage the doctor’s schedule to support productive, efficient appointment flow
Document all patient interactions thoroughly and accurately in Open Dental
Maintain a welcoming, professional consultation environment and contribute positively to the front office flow
What We’re Looking For – Position Requirements
Two+ years’ experience in treatment coordination or dental front office
In-depth understanding of dental procedures and ability to explain them clearly
Strong knowledge of insurance basics, ADA codes, estimates, and patient cost breakdowns
Proficiency in Open Dental (treatment plans, notes, documentation)
Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
Highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented
Comfortable influencing decisions ethically and addressing objections
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage: $29-$35 per hour
Excellent benefits including medical and vision insurance, in-house dental care, 401k with employer matching, paid time off (one hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked), 11 paid holidays, Orca card, and access to building fitness center amenities.
If you are an excellent communicator and are calm, confident, and reassuring under pressure, patient-focused, energetic, collaborative, and solution-oriented looking for a practice that values integrity, teamwork, and people-first care, we’d love to hear from you!
Please include a short note/cover letter (with your resume) to introduce yourself.
