Dental Hygienist

Brooklyn, NY (On-site)

$55-65/hour + incentives

Sundays, late or early hours preferred 8-3/2-8

Position Summary:

A growing dental practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join its clinical team. This role focuses on providing preventive, educational, and therapeutic services to support patients in achieving and maintaining optimal oral health. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct oral assessments to evaluate dental needs

• Perform necessary radiographs (digital and/or film)

• Provide dental prophylaxis, sealants, periodontal charting, scaling, and root planing

• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and follow-up care

• Document all procedures and findings accurately in patient records

• Maintain a clean, sterile, and compliant operatory environment

• Ensure dental equipment is operational prior to each day and report issues promptly

• Collaborate closely with dentists and clinical staff for optimal patient outcomes

• Comply with all safety, infection control, and clinical protocols

• Adhere to all professional and regulatory standards and participate in compliance training

Qualifications:

• Active New York State Dental Hygienist license (in good standing)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Basic computer proficiency for charting and recordkeeping

• Meets all clinical and regulatory requirements for dental staff appointment
