Job Description

Follows proper Standard Precautions at all times while in sterilization areas

Prevent contamination of the sterile area

Sterilize instruments, supplies, and equipment in a prompt manner

Restock, label, and maintain inventory in the sterilization area

Assist with turning over restorative and hygiene chairs/operatories

Collect trays, instruments, and equipment from rooms for sterilization

Set up trays as applicable

Perform environmental maintenance duties such as cleaning and maintaining the ultrasonic, running lines, and suctions

Verify that all sterilization equipment is functioning properly and remove any defective equipment

Run test strip in autoclave at prescribed intervals to ensure sanitation standards are being met

Maintain a clean and efficient work area

Assist with maintaining established policies and procedures for sterilization and contribute to quality improvement, safety, and infection control standards

Assist other team members with duties as needed

Requirements

High school / GED minimum

Aspirations to grow and learn in the dental field and our team is will to train the right candidate to become a dental assistant
