  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    - Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project financial status.

    - Ensure that procedures and policies are in place to fulfill all contractual financial obligations

    - Facilitate effective and efficient financial reporting, and ensure compliance with local, state, and corporate policies.

    - Maintain a clear understanding of revenue recognition, project invoicing, journal entry preparation, and general accounting rules.

    - Support both management and clients by communicating financial insights and reporting on the performance of assigned projects in a way that non-financial team members can understand.

    - Direct fiscal operations relating to financial planning, funds management, accounting, reporting, and disbursement.

    -Perform month-end closing activities

    - Process payroll, accounts payable, and prepare accounts receivable invoices to customers

    - Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flows across multiple funding streams and communicate the contract’s financial position

    - Administer supplier contract terms, verify compliance, and review payments

    - Prepare financial performance reviews and maintain project financial data

    -Perform other duties as assigned

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and 3+ years of working in an accounting role or an equivalent combinaton of education and experience

    - Previous experience with cost accounting, government fund accounting, or Oracle.

    - Self-motivated and flexible team player.

    - Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and have the ability to work across all levels of management and with staff

    - Must be driven, action-oriented and comfortable multi-tasking and meeting multiple tight deadlines.

    - Must take pride in the ability to recognize and solve problems as they arise especially in regard to business practices, quality, and internal controls.

    Additional Information

    -Must have demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP)

    -Must have the ability to interpret balance sheets and profit/loss reports, and write and implement financial management policies and procedures

    -Must be able to budget and forecast across multiple funding streams and communicate the contract's financial position

    -Must possess computer skills and the ability to use general office equipment

    -Must show proof of valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage
