Manager, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) is the practice of improving a website to increase the percentage of visitors who perform a desired action on a website. Desired actions can include signing up for a service, purchasing a product, clicking ‘add to cart’, or completing an application. This is an exciting role on a growing team where you will gain the digital marketing skills to launch your career in website conversion rate optimization (CRO). The Manager, Conversion Rate Optimization will receive comprehensive hands-on training in the fast-paced world of CRO, and develop experience with complementary marketing channels and website development. Our team's core objective is driving performance results through data-driven analysis, site testing, optimization, and personalization. Reporting to the Director of CRO, you will be an important contributor to the team by supporting web conversion strategies for dentsu Media clients. Strong candidates will understand what makes web visitors click and convert. The ideal candidate enjoys analyzing web data to discover insights and opportunities, is a self-starter, and thrives in a highly collaborative team environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Access site analytics platforms to build reports and deliver insights and opportunities based on independent data analysis
Provide strategic, audience-centric recommendations for improving website performance that considers channel and client objectives
Conduct research and strategic analysis of user behavior and competitive websites to identify opportunities for enhancing website conversion rates
Design and implement A/B and multivariate tests with a strategic focus, optimizing website elements such as product pages, landing pages, calls-to-action (CTAs), and checkout processes and forms
Support strategy, execution, and measurement of A/B and multivariate tests
Actively collaborate with designers and developers to create and implement strategically optimized designs for conversion
Partners closely with digital experience and paid media teams to test and improve content, creative, copy and audience targeting to ensure campaign optimization
Writes briefs, compiles results and communicates next steps to stakeholders
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in conversion rate optimization
Qualifications
Proven experience in website development or conversion rate optimization, ideally within an agency environment
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years of relevant work experience, ideally experience with one of the following: e-commerce, website analytics, testing, web development, UX, or digital marketing
Familiarity with testing platforms (examples: VWO, Optimizely, Adobe Target, etc.) and user research (examples: user testing, usability studies, etc.)
Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics and heat mapping software
Data visualization and presentation skills (PowerPoint slide visualization and public speaking)
Ability to be flexible and agile, prioritize work effectively, and juggle multiple competing priorities
Curious and excited to learn and take on new challenges and experiences
Basic knowledge of performance marketing channels: Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Email, SEO
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and client stakeholders
Additional Information
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $59,000-$92,000. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company’s incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
