Denver Industrial Sales & Service Co., (DISSCO) a Denver, CO based distributor that sells, services and rents, crack seal melters and other road maintenance equipment for the pavement maintenance industry is seeking an experienced Service Technician Mechanic that can perform service and repair to new and used units sold and perform service to our fleet of rental units.      

Note: this job is not a job of doing the same old thing day in and day out. Every day will be different and you may get dirty. Real dirty. We are a small company and although this a Service Technician Mechanic position the tasks required or asked of you may differ widely but will mostly require you to fix something. But not always. The prospective employee shall as a minimum have skills and experience with the following;  

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent plus vocational training.
• Be experienced in performing service and repair of gas & diesel powered mobile equipment.
• Be experienced in hydraulics.
• Ability to trace out, diagnose and repair 12VDC electrical systems and controllers.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to recognize defective parts and to distinguish machine sounds, to detect potential mechanical issues.
• Perform maintenance and repair of customer owned equipment. 
• Assist in providing telephone technical service to customer.
• Assist in parts inventory tracking and ordering.
• Possess basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Assist in customer service.
• Assist in all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of TQM.
• Be willing to assist where needed in other parts of the company.
• Ability to pass an annual physical with drug screening.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand instructions given and communicate in the English language.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with some weekends or as determined by business need, some overtime may be required.
• Must be able to work every day as scheduled.
• Possess a strong work ethic with a desire to succeed

Applicants with any prior experience in the asphalt industry, mechanical, maintenance, or fabrication welding or pipe fitting skills or experience in asphalt, bulk handling, coatings or bilingual shall be preferred. Military experience shall be preferred.  

Position pays $45k to $70k per year for the right person. Wages & benefits negotiable based on qualifications, paid insurance, dental, 401k match, paid holidays & vacations.
