    Seeking an insightful HR leader to serve in a key leadership role.

    The Opportunity

    As HR Director at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, this position offers a unique opportunity that allows you to help shape our own workforce. The HR Director is a strategic partner and works with leadership to provide a memorable employee experience from hiring to benefits, to employee engagement and training.     What You Will Be Doing

    Reporting to the VP of Finance and Operations, this key leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of the human resource operations to include compensation strategies, benefits administration, retirement programs, employee relations, recruiting and matters concerning employment law. As HR Director, this position will develop, maintain and administer employee management and training programs encompassing all functional areas of employment/labor relations. Responsibilities include organizational compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, employment, compensation administration, benefits, training, EEO, performance management, employee relations, planning of staffing requirements, safety, training.

    THE KEY AREAS OF FOCUS WILL BE IN:

    • Employee recruitment and retention, continuing the organizations path of attracting a talented workforce that is inclusive and diverse.
    • Benefits management and compliance.
    • Employee relations management, including training managers and resolving issues.
    • Compensation planning, including research and analysis.
    • Support executive team in managing monthly staff meetings.
    • Organize and coordinate DMCC's HR Committee meetings.

    What You Will Bring To Denver Metro Chamber

    • Strong ability to take strategic views that research, analyze and synthesize various data.
    • Working knowledge of budgets and knowledge of payroll systems. 
    • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to drive outcomes that bridge organizational needs and employee satisfaction.
    • Ability to diffuse difficult situations and bring about acceptable business solutions.
    • Strong orientation towards customer service-oriented work environment with an ability to work across all Chamber affiliates as a solutions partner.
    • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office products.

    The successful candidate:

    • PHR or SPHR preferred (or equivalent SHRM designation).
    • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in human resources.
    • 5+ years as a human resources generalist.
