Dependable Cab looking for full and part-time drivers. Driver's are considered independent contractors and are required to have their own vehicle, insurance, drivers license with good record, cell phone, and GPS or knowledge of city. Please make sure you are able to handle the job duties listed below.
Job Summary Responsible for operating a vehicle and driving passengers to and from their destinations. Greets passengers, ascertains destination, watches for traffic signals, waits for passengers to take them to their next destination. Primary responsibilities
- Drive people from one place to another
- Figure out where passengers are going.
- Ask for directions or determine directions on GPS.
- Use knowledge of local streets and traffic patterns to avoid heavy traffic.
- Vacuum and clean interior of cab.
- Keep track of mileage
- Pick up and throw away debris from passengers.
- Take payments.
- Wax and wash exterior of car.
- Service car and determine if repairs are needed.
- Get oil changed and fluids checked regularly.
- Pick up people at their request.
- Make change and issue receipts.
- Determine fares based on distance, number of passengers, or times.
- Perform errands for customers (this is part of our delivery service)
- Take passengers to airport or pick them up.
- Carry packages and luggage.
- Help passengers get in and out of car.
- Make minor repairs and adjustments.
- Wash and dry windows
- Put air in tires.
- Perform daily safety vehicle walk around before shift
- Must have fire extinguisher in vehicle (can be purchased very reasonable at any Wal-Mart)
- You will need to get out of your vehicle occasionally to know on a door for the elderly or disabled
