  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Deputy Hospital Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Health Services by taking direction from the Senior Hospital Administrator, including but not limited to billing, coding, medical records keeping, accounting, scheduling, human resources, and customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plans and prioritizes day to day activities and tasks.
    • Supports working collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and Nurse Manager to provide the highest level of medical care with the resources given.
    • Coordinates with Senior Hospital Administrator to help manage general hospital operations, human resources, and finances.
    • Manages medical billing and collections of allied health services and healthcare information technology.
    • Ensures daily operations of veterinary services, environmental services, and dental services.
    • Ensures daily operations of transportation services, security and facility management.
    • Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
    • Coordinates with Insurance companies for network access.
    • Liaises with island tenant companies to ensure access to healthcare and evacuations.
    • Represents International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. to the Prime and/or government personnel.
    • Respond to contract, facility, and other emergencies.
    • Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements/Certifications:

    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare administration.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Education Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Health Services, Health Care Administration, Hospital Administration or related field.
    • Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Health Care, Hospital Administration or advanced professional degree highly desirable.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
    • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
    • May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.

    Other Special Qualifications:

    • Must be able to read, write & speak English to effectively communicate
    • This position is unaccompanied.
    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
    • US DOD CNACI or the ability to obtain one is required.
    • A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.

    Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
