Patient Service Representative
Job Description
We are looking for a FULL-TIME Medical Office Receptionist with great customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and outgoing personality, a high level of compassion for patients, a strong attention to detail, be extremely organized, capable of handling many tasks as well as a willingness to learn.
The job duties include checking patients in and out, verifying benefits/eligibility, collecting co-pays/deductibles/coinsurance etc, scheduling appointments via phones and incoming referrals, answering and routing routine phone calls.
Position is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with an hour break for lunch. Position will be mainly at our North Duke Street office but travel to our South Durham (Southpoint mall area) location may be required. Pay starts at $14-16/hr.
Qualifications
Applicants should have strong keyboarding/computer skills as well as customer service. Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent required. Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
This is an entry-level position perfect job for those who just finished school or are looking to break into the healthcare field. Training will be provided.
