    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Commercial Beekeeping Account Executive will be responsible for being the primary sales & account manager for all of our commercial beekeeping related businesses, namely CBS, DCP, DCBB & honey buying for DCH. This will be an extremely collaborative job with most internal teams, and will require travel and forging strong relationships with dozens of commercial beekeepers. It will be expected to develop sales strategies, execute creatively and aggressively, keep an organized sales pipeline full, and handle customer accounts, and marshal and coordinate both internal and external resources required to execute successfully against sales plan and strategies.. The successful candidate will possess strong sales acumen, exceptional relationship skills, and an eagerness to learn the intricacies of the commercial beekeeping industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

    • Aggressive Revenue Growth: This position is expected to aggressively grow revenue within CBS, DCP and DCBB in accordance with agreed to milestones and numbers.
    • Sales Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic sales plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall vision and goals.
    • Selling: Take a proactive approach to sales by identifying potential clients, initiating contact, and showcasing our products and services. Develop persuasive sales pitches and presentations, utilizing a soft-selling approach and demonstrate a deep understanding of beekeeping and industry requirements. Work closely with the marketing team to develop product launch strategies, promotional schedules, and targeted sales campaigns. Collaborate with influencers in the industry to expand our reach and create brand awareness.
    • Account & Relationship Management: Travel to meet clients and conduct face-to-face meetings, ensuring a strong personal connection and fostering long-term relationships. Provide regular check-ins with clients, acting as a trusted friend and advisor, understanding their needs, and offering helpful industry updates.
    • Reputation Management: In a small industry that is highly interconnected, reputation is critical. One negative interaction can have tremendous ripple effects. Maintaining excellence in how relationships are handled, sales methods, transparency, honesty, and product is absolutely essential in this position.
    • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to the executive leadership team on performance, challenges, forecasts, and opportunities, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
    • Continuous Learning: Become extremely well-versed in all our products and services, ensuring the ability to provide comprehensive and tailored solutions to clients. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices through continuous education and active involvement in industry events. Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance sales skills, product knowledge, and understanding of beekeeping practices. Represent the company as an industry insider and expert, building a strong reputation within the beekeeping community. Continuous learning will involve traveling to meetings, industry events, and company operations throughout the country. Above all, LEARN YOUR CUSTOMER, becoming an expert in anything they might want or need.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: collaborate closely with internal teams throughout the company to ensure sales goals and customer expectations are being met and exceeded. This includes collaborating on marketing strategies and new product opportunities, providing the company’s internal teams with unique insights to customer wants and needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Creative, resourceful, hard working, driven & organized.
    • 5+ years experience in account management and sales roles, preferably in a B2B environment.
    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
    • In-depth knowledge of beekeeping practices and the beekeeping industry, or a willingness and ability to quickly learn.
    • The ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage a wide variety of client accounts, and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales goals and driving revenue growth.
    • Willingness to travel regularly and be available after-hours during seasonal periods of high demand.
    • Hungry to drive aggressive sales growth in an industry ripe with opportunity.
    • Must continuously use the highest level of personal integrity and business ethics.

    PAY AND BENEFITS:

    • Base Salary + Commission (amounts vary depending on experience)
    • Medical Insurance: BCBTX (company covers 60% for employees, 50% for dependents)
    • PTO: 3 weeks (15 days)
    • 9 Paid Company Holidays: New Year’s, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving + Friday, Christmas Eve + Christmas Day + 1 Day.
