    Join the Spa team at one of the largest and most beautiful private country clubs in North America, Desert Mountain Club, as a Massage Therapist!

    In this role, you will provide a relaxing and stress-free environment performing professional, therapeutic and rejuvenating massage and body treatments to members and guests. You'll be working in the Sonoran Clubhouse which also hosts our fitness center, fitness rooms, youth activities center, Cafe Verde, tennis courts, and pools.

    The ideal candidate will be a professional with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for delivering exceptional experiences. Prior experience as a massage therapist and a valid Arizona State Board Massage Therapy license is required.

    JOB DETAILS

    Essential Duties:

    Greet members and guests in a genuine, courteous, and service-oriented manner and provide exceptional service through name recognition, anticipating needs, and exceeding expectations.

    Perform requested or suggested massage techniques including, but not limited to, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, hot stone therapy, reflexology, prenatal massage, sports massage, and / or body treatments.

    Conduct all treatments according to treatment guidelines.

    Build rapport and consult with member or guest to assess their expectations, inquire about physical well-being, and attend to immediate needs throughout their visit.

    Communicate with the member or guest throughout the massage to ensure comfort with pressure levels and techniques being applied.

    Escort guests as needed to the locker areas or next appointment.

    Clean and re-stock room before leaving for the day. Inform manager when inventory is running low.

    Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times with an emphasis on safety and health rules & regulations.

    Communicate with Spa staff to verify next day’s appointment schedule prior to leaving for the day or call in prior to closing.

    Perform all duties and act with integrity and in a professional manner at all times.

    Assist with cleanliness of all Spa areas including all common areas and locker rooms.

    Promote all on-going and up-coming programs and activities.

    Maintain professional relationships with members and employees.

    Understand and maintain Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy rules and regulations.

    Keep license current, maintain required continuing education credits, and stay abreast of current trends and techniques.

    Attend staff meetings.

    Maintain a neat and professional appearance following Desert Mountain Club appearance standards policy.

    Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

    Noise level in the work environment – Usually moderate

    Required to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Flexible hours and overtime sometimes required.

    Required to stand for long periods of time.

    Must have necessary arm, hand, and finger strength and dexterity to provide massages.

    Required to push, pull, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds – Frequently

    Required to push and/or pull up to 50 pounds – Occasionally

    Required to walk, sit, stoop, and/or kneel – Occasionally
