    One of the largest and most beautiful private country clubs in North America, Desert Mountain Club, is looking for a Recruiter to join the Talent & Culture team!

    In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination of Human Resource policies and programs with an emphasis on benefits and employee relations ensuring the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Work closely with the Director of Talent & Culture in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions, and activities. You will manage a Coordinator and report directly to the Director of Talent & Culture.

    The ideal candidate will be driven for excellence, bring great energy and professionalism, and have a keen eye for detail. At least 3-5 years of experience in human resources and bilingual in Spanish is required. Prior benefits management experience is preferred.

    JOB DETAILS

    Essential Duties:

    Manage all benefits plan designs and enrollment processes.

    Administer 401(k) and 457(b) plans.

    Manages and implement Wellness Initiatives.

    Coach/mentor supervisors and managers in progressive discipline and conflict management.

    Handle investigations to address hourly employee issues and recommend action as necessary. Assist Director of Talent & Culture with other investigations, as needed.

    Handle discipline and termination of employees following company policy in the absence of the Director of Talent & Culture.

    Facilitate training and coaching for supervisors and managers.

    Plan, direct and supervise all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of employee benefits programs. Develop, implement and control programs in a manner that ensures cost-effectiveness, market competitiveness and internal equity among employees.

    Administer benefits programs, including conducting analyses and serving as primary contact with providers (including group health and life), and retirement plans.

    Manage the 401(k) Retirement plan, vendor performance, ensure compliance and manage the internal audit. Coordinate on-going 401k education for employees.

    Ensure timely filing of Form 5500 for all Welfare plans and 401k plan.

    Lead benefit communication, benefits policy development, and administration.

    Partner with and manage relationships with benefits brokers, carriers, vendors and subject matter experts ensuring delivery of high-quality programs following industry best practices and legal compliance.

    Respond to and resolve a variety of escalated benefit issues, by assisting with any employee-related claims issues.

    Keep abreast of industry and market trends, benefits related technology, labor laws, and healthcare reform.

    Track, monitor, analyze health claims costs and benefit plan costs and trends working closely with Broker actuaries.

    Responsible for managing LOAs, FMLA and ADA processes, and compliance.

    Administer COBRA: Initial mailings, tracking of current participants, eligibility, and payments.

    Conduct benefits orientation meetings for new hires and annual Open Enrollment meetings.

    Provide Workers’ Compensation support to the Benefits & Communication Coordinator, as needed.

    Assist the Director of Talent & Culture in the daily administration of other HR services as directed or assigned, including, promotions, transfers, and administration, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, and employee relations adhering to quality management principles and overall objectives of the organization.

    Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management. Identify trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management, and employees accordingly.

    Provide guidance and design the Employee Recognition Programs in collaboration with Culture & Engagement Coordinator.

    Perform other related duties as assigned.
